| 4 way shift register |
A shift register can be used for storing an item of
information – e.g. sorting of items into “good” or “bad” – two, three or
four transport steps further on.
A shift pulse and the value (0” or 1”) to be shifted are required for
the shift register.
Values which are no longer required are deleted via the reset input of
the shift register. The values in the shift register pass through the
register in the following order:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th storage position.

Function:
Allocate the value 0 with the information content bad. Should the shift
register be accidently deleted, no bad parts will be reused.
I1: Shift clock pulse (PULSE)
I2: Information (good/bad) for shifting (VALUE)
I3: Delete contents of shift register (RESET)
M1: 1. memory position
M1: 2. memory position
